Kyron: Bringing a new perspective to corporate wear

At Direct Corporate Clothing (DCC), our team’s strength comes from the ingenuity and diverse experience of our people. Which is why we’re excited to introduce Kyron, our newest Account Manager, whose forward-thinking approach and proven track record are set to make a significant impact on our clients and our business.

A transition of expertise

The Digital Product Passport is not merely a new label; it’s a comprehensive digital record that will accompany every textile product placed on the European market.

Kyron’s journey to DCC began at a leading competitor, where he spent nearly two years as a Sales Account Manager. Initially focused on the Midlands, his success quickly led to him overseeing the entire South and Southwest of the UK. He managed over a thousand customer accounts, ranging from small businesses to major clients. Prior to this, his career was rooted in recruitment and logistics, providing him with a unique understanding of fast-paced, high-demand industries and a knack for managing complex relationships.Imagine a QR code or similar data carrier on each garment, which, when scanned, will provide a wealth of information about its journey – from the origin of its raw materials, through manufacturing processes, to its environmental impact, and even instructions for its care, repair, and eventual recycling.

This initiative stems from the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), a cornerstone of the EU’s Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. While specific requirements for textiles are still being finalised, the DPP is expected to become mandatory for all textile products sold in the EU by 2027.

Why DCC was the right choice

Kyron wasn’t actively looking for a new role, but he was immediately drawn to DCC’s vision and core values. He was impressed by our ambition to be the number one technical workwear and PPE provider in the UK and felt that our goals aligned perfectly with his own. As one of our youngest account managers, he saw an opportunity to inject new energy and innovative ideas into the team. He was particularly excited by our commitment to sustainability, noting that our Zero to Landfill policy and plans for a solar-powered warehouse are a genuine point of difference in the industry.

A focused approach to success

In his first few weeks, Kyron has taken on a challenging yet exciting portfolio of clients. He has already secured a significant first order for a new account that had been in talks for three months before he joined. He is excited by the opportunity to put his personal stamp on each account, building genuine rapport and proving his ability to deliver.
Outside of work, Kyron is an avid sportsman, playing semi-professional football and enjoying running. He also values his social life, spending time with friends and enjoying good food.
Kyron’s enthusiasm, strategic mindset and dedication to his work make him an ideal fit for the DCC team. We are confident that he will be an invaluable asset as we continue to lead the industry with innovative solutions.
